Northstar is a versatile destination for a variety of conferencing events.

Our courtyard conference room can seat up to 20pax boardroom style, or up to 36pax theatre style.

The lounge area is perfect for a more relaxed or informal style of meeting, it is used frequently for book clubs, smaller AGM’s, coffee groups and breakout sessions.

Our restaurant can also be hired in conjunction with the lounge area for larger conference events seating up to 140pax around tables.

We provide free wireless internet for all conferenceing events, and can provide projector, screen + sound system hire.

For groups in the restaurant/lounge areas our inbuilt sound system has a wireless microphone which is effective for speeches + seminars in this area.

At Northstar Restaurant and Bar we cater for functions ranging from corporate events, to sit down meals, to dances, celebrations and parties. 

Our Oamaru venue is perfect for a modern wedding reception. Enjoy a fully catered meal, accompanied by our fine selection of wines, spirits and beers. 

For sit down meals we can cater for approximately 130 guests. 

For dances, celebration or parties, we can cater for approximately 170 guests. 

The Restaurant and Bar is available to be booked out. If you have a large number of guests from out of town, you can also book out Northstar Motel, our modern, stylish accommodation, for your guest’s convenience.
